ZAGREB ARTISTIC SCHOOL was opened on the 20th of September 1987 at the Center for Culture Maksimir, as an informal course. Throughout the years of continuous activity, over 2000 great artists graduated who today captivate you with their quality.

The establishment of this artistic school with a formalized educational curriculum is really the final institutionalization of what has actually existed and persisted in our society through informal education for over 90 years.

The aim was to create an independent artist, who; before the show, during the show, and after the show - leaves behind a trail indicative of mature professionalism in any and every aspect.

The school lasts for three years. Currently there are 2 artistic occupations: Illusionist - artist and Juggler - artist.
Students gain knowledge from a variety of different artistic expressions, including a whole range of not only the world of the circus performers, but also other kinds of artistic expression. The purpose of this is to enhance broad creative thinking and problem solving by raising awareness, through the study of the sensory perception systems, and the principles of arts in practical and theoretical work.
